Like many parents, we found it challenging to find quality video content for our young children that would both hold their attention and provide a positive and wholesome learning experience for them. We noticed our young ones responded well to images of live children. They would interact with the screen, they would smile and coo at the children’s faces.   We began searching for videos featuring more than just occasional images of children, after not finding any, we started the Little Playdates company early in 2005 with the goal of providing something unique and different.

The premise seemed simple enough: Studies have shown that children learn from other children through observation, imitation and play. So why not develop videos for young children that expose them to positive play and social behaviors with other real live children?

The results have been wonderful! We continue to receive feedback from parents on how the program has positively influenced their children’s behavior. Even parents of very shy or autistic children have said that it has helped their children ‘come out of their shells’ and improve how they relate and play with other children.
